While outside of the Tropicana Golf and Country Resort's worker hostel, Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Nik Ezanee told the press that over 200 residents have tested positive for COVID-19

According to MalaysiaGazette, on Thursday, 15 October, Nik Ezanee said, "I've been informed that within Petaling Jaya, there are 207 positive cases."

He then stressed that this number solely represents the cases in Petaling Jaya, and not the Petaling district as a whole.
