Newlywed Husband Dies In Car Crash Just Hours After Getting Married

His wife survived the crash and is currently receiving treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital.

A newlywed couple was involved in a car crash with three other vehicles in Tanjong Karang, Selangor shortly after their wedding on Sunday, 17 December, resulting in the husband's death

According to Harian Metro, the tragedy struck as the couple were headed to a bridal boutique in Kuala Lumpur to return their rented wedding attire.

The deceased was identified as 23-year-old Norsyam Nasullah Rahim.

Meanwhile, his wife, 22-year-old Aini Hayati Mohd Radzi, survived the crash and sustained a broken leg as well as injuries to her jaw.

It is said the accident at Kilometer 53 on Jalan Klang-Teluk Intan involved a Perodua Bezza, Nissan Almera, and Honda City

Kuala Selangor district police chief Supt Ramli Kasa said the accident occurred at 10pm when the Perodua Bezza, which was driven by Norsyam, lost control and collided into the other vehicles in the opposite lane.

Ramli said the car skidded about 11m, and the driver suffered severe injuries before being confirmed dead at the scene.

The Honda City driver, which was reported to be a woman in her 30s, suffered a broken right leg, while the Nissan Almera driver in her 50s sustained minor injuries.

Aini Hayati's brother said that the family only learned about the tragic incident through Facebook

The brother, Muhd Aiman, who was travelling back to Kajang after celebrating the couple's wedding, said that he immediately turned back and rushed to Tanjong Karang Hospital after receiving the news.

"Not long after our arrival, the hospital informed us that my brother-in-law had passed away," he said.

While expressing his shock over the tragedy, Muhd Aiman accepted it as "Allah's will" and mentioned that the burial ceremony would take place in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

He also shared that Aini Hayati is currently receiving treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital.
