Saidina Abu Bakar As-Siddiq Mosque in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur welcomed a Sikh doctor to deliver a lecture on quitting smoking last Friday, 7 April

A 16-second video uploaded on Twitter by the Pertama Digital Berhad group chief executive officer, Saify Akhtar, showed the doctor delivering the lecture in Bahasa Melayu to people in the mosque.

"Lectures in mosques are nothing out of ordinary, but usually the topics lean on religious values. Last Friday's lecture reminds me of the golden age of Islam, when mosques were also repurposed as a palace of knowledge," said the Twitter user yesterday, 11 April.
