Navy Officer Death: Myvi Driver's Fiance Fined For Allowing Her To Drive His Car

The matter came to light when the Johor Bahru Magistrate's Court sentenced the 23-year-old woman to six years in prison and fined a total of RM8,000 for driving under the influence of drugs.

The woman, Nur Fatin Nazrah Suhaimi, was also ordered to pay a fine of RM2,800 for three other offences, which include driving without a licence and a vehicle that neither had a valid road tax nor insurance policy.

The white Perodua Myvi belonged to her fiance, Nuraiman Fathi Mohd Zukk, aged 23.

In the accident, that happened on Saturday morning, 10 October, the Navy officer was killed after the speeding white Perodua Myvi, driven by the woman, T-boned his car waiting at an intersection traffic light.

The side collision, in which Nur Fatin hit two cars — a Honda Accord and a Proton Iswara — was captured on a dashcam of another car waiting across the traffic light on Jalan Kota Tinggi.

Nuraiman Fathi was fined after he pleaded guilty to three charges of allowing his fiance, Nur Fatin, to drive the Perodua Myvi that neither had a valid road tax nor insurance policy.

Additionally, Nur Fatin, who tested positive for drugs, did not have a driving licence.

For the offences, under Section 26 (1), Section 15(1), and Section 90 of the Road Transport Act 1987, Nuraiman Fathi was fined RM1,500, RM1,000, and RM800, respectively.

The 23-year-old man will face a 13-month prison sentence if he fails to pay the fine.

He also lost the right to hold or apply for a driving licence for a year.
