SEA Games Aquatics Coach Arrested For Allegedly Raping A National Trainee
He was detained after the athlete's parents lodged a report on Sunday.

A national aquatics coach has been arrested earlier today under suspicion that he had raped a national trainee
New Straits Times reported that the coach, a former Olympian, was arrested after the trainee's parents lodged a police report on Sunday, 1 October.
The suspect, a Chinese national in his 30s, was said to have been involved in the recent SEA Games in a water sport discipline and has been with the national team since 2012
The alleged victim did not participate in the SEA Games, although NST reported that she was a backup for the national diving team.
City police chief Datuk Amar Singh confirmed the arrest, saying that the coach was picked up at the National Sports Council (NSC) in Bukit Jalil yesterday, 2 October
Malay Mail reported that the Sexual Crimes Unit has launched an investigation into the rape allegation, while NSC director-general Datuk Ahmad Shapawi said that the council will assist the police investigation.
