Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is poised to become Malaysia's 10th Prime Minister after receiving support from Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)

This comes after Muhyiddin issued a statement at 6.35pm today, 20 November, to inform that he has met with Sarawak Premier and GPS chairman Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg to discuss the formation of the federal government.

"He has informed the GPS members of parliament (MPs) to support me to be appointed as the 10th Prime Minister," said the Pagoh MP.

"I also had a meeting with Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, GRS chairman, who also expressed the willingness to allow GRS MPs to support me to be appointed as the 10th Prime Minister."

"As PN chairman, I am confident that I will obtain a sufficient number of support from MPs to enable me to be appointed by His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong as the 10th Prime Minister as required by the Federal Constitution."
