PM Muhyiddin: Emergency Ordinances Will Be Debated In September Parliament Sitting
The announcement comes in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's decree.

The government has agreed to table a motion to debate the revocation of the Emergency Ordinances in Parliament, said Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin
In a statement today, 3 August, Muhyiddin said the process of the revocation of Emergency Ordinances — through the advice of the Cabinet to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah — made on 23 July could not be completed.
"With the end of the proclamation of emergency on 1 August, based on the provisions of the Federal Constitution, the question of revoking the Emergency Ordinances by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong no longer arises," he said.
Therefore, a motion to debate the ordinances will be scheduled in a Parliament sitting in September
But first, he said the motion will also be discussed by the Cabinet tomorrow, 4 August.
The announcement comes in line with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's decree, to which Muhyiddin expressed hope will resolve the dispute over the revocation of Emergency Ordinances "in a harmonious and constitutional manner".
