A wheelchair user has expressed his heartfelt gratitude after three kind-hearted Malaysians stepped in to carry him up a flight of stairs when the elevator at a KTM station was out of service

In a TikTok video, user @ismailazemin, a spinal cord injury survivor, shared that he had not expected the lift at the Bukit Mertajam KTM station in Penang to be under maintenance.

However, to his relief, several men came to his aid, carefully carrying him and his wheelchair up the long staircase

"It was an unexpected challenge. The Bukit Mertajam KTM station's lift was under maintenance, but I'm grateful that Allah sent good people to help me.

"Even though they were fasting, they still stepped up to help. Thank you, kind souls," Ismail shared in his TikTok post.

He added that he has never been afraid to travel because there are always kind-hearted people willing to lend a hand.

In the comments section, netizens praised the selfless individuals who assisted Ismail, especially as they were observing their fast during Ramadan

"I got emotional seeing these brothers helping. May Allah multiply the rewards of their fasting," wrote one user.

"I pray that those who helped will never feel tired or hungry during their fast. May all traffic lights turn green for them, and may they always have money in their pockets," commented another.
