Mosque Group Stuck In Lift Performs 'Takbir' While Waiting To Be Rescued By Abang Bomba

A case of a rather hilarious unfortunate event went viral on social media after a group of men were seen reciting the Eid takbir while stuck in an elevator on their way to a man's house
On 21 April, the eve of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Twitter user @_RafiqIsmail shared a post wondering why the mosque congregation he invited to his house to perform the Eid takbir were absent.
According to a report by mStar, Rafiq's house was supposed to be the fourth out of the 10 houses to be visited by the group, but his texts for updates from the congregation went unanswered.
That is, however, until he and his family heard sirens, and received a message from the residents' group that the congregation had gotten themselves stuck in the elevator leading up to his apartment.
The tweet with the image of the Fire and Rescue Department and the video of the congregation performing the takbir has received over 10,000 retweets and 16,000 likes at the time of writing.
While Malaysians were amused at the incident, most were relieved that the group was safe and successfully rescued by firefighters
The congregation were rescued by the Fire and Rescue Department after half an hour and managed to perform their duties at Rafiq's house. They even resumed their visits as normal.
The viral post has gained amused reactions from Malaysians, saying that it reminded them of a horror movie scene and that the incident was a test of faith for the men.
Even more so, Malaysians were relieved that the congregation members were safe and that no unwanted incidents had occurred while being stuck in the packed elevator.
