Man In Kuching Saves Himself From Crocodile Attack By Slapping It
The incident happened when he was doing repair works at his house.

A 56-year-old man in Sarawak saved himself from a crocodile attack on Saturday morning, 4 June, by slapping it
The victim, Bohri Jali, was doing repair work on his house in Kampung Tabuan Melayu, Kuching when the incident occurred around 10am.
Zairina Bohri, the daughter of the victim, recounted the event to Utusan Borneo.
According to Zairina, she was first alarmed of the situation when she heard her mother screaming
"I heard my mother scream, 'Amoi, your father got attacked by a crocodile!' which rushed me to go and seek my father who was outside of the house at the time," said Zairina.
"Before being attacked by the young crocodile, my father was doing some improvement works on the exterior of our home," she recalled.
She recalled that her father did not realise the presence of reptile until he was bitten.
In order to save himself, he hit and slapped the crocodile until the reptile released its bite. He suffered injuries to parts of his chest and went to a nearby health clinic for treatment.
Bohri is now resting and recovering in their home in Kampung Tabuan Melayu
Zairina is thankful her father managed to save himself.
She hopes that her father and everyone who works nearby the river in the area are more careful and aware of the presence of the reptile.
Just last month, a seven-year-old boy was killed by a crocodile at Nyabut River, Telaga Air in Kuching
On 21 May, the boy was said to be collecting water with his grandmother and sisters when he was dragged into the water by a crocodile, according to Dayak Daily.
The 14-feet crocodile was then caught on 25 May, but the remains of the boy have yet to be found.
