A Man In Kedah Was Arrested For Defying Policemen In Charge Of RMO
If found guilty, the man could face two years in jail or a fine of up to RM10,000 or both.

A man in Kedah was recently apprehended for violating police officers that asked him to comply with the ongoing Restriction of Movement Order (RMO)
Police officers detained the man at a place of worship at Air Mendidih, Sungai Petani.
According to Astro Awani, the suspect is a factory worker in his 30s.
While patrolling, authorities found a group of men gathered at the location.
After they were told to go home, the suspect became aggressive and started to argue with the police.
Kuala Muda police chief ACP Adzli Abu Shah told Bernama that officers told the group about the order and asked them to disperse. Others obeyed the instruction, but the suspect refused to cooperate so the police decided to arrest him.
"We detained him not for violating the Restriction of Movement Order, but for obstructing the duty of a civil servant after we asked him to leave. He didn't want to leave, he kept cursing us and refusing to cooperate," he added.
Further investigations would be conducted under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a civil servant from carrying out his duty

ACP Adzli told The Star that the arrest is a message to the public that they need to cooperate with the authorities on duty.
He urged the public to abide by the RMO and to give full cooperation to the authorities during this period. "Otherwise, we will issue a fine or proceed with court action," he added.
