A Man Was Robbed And Had His Neck Slashed While Waiting For The Lift In PJ Apartment

A 44-year-old man was attacked and had his neck slit and shoulder slashed while waiting for the lift at the Desa Mentari apartment in Petaling Jaya today, 26 December

New Straits Times (NST) reported that the incident happened around 4am today. 

"Both the suspects known as Ravi and Tamil Aresen ambushed him from behind and began assaulting him, causing the victim to fall to the ground. 

"One of the men held the victim's hands, while another slit his neck and slashed his shoulder before snatching a gold chain worth RM10,000 from his neck," explained district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din in a statement

The victim had allegedly put up a fight, but failed and the assailants fled the scene right after

He then managed to call a friend who rushed him to a private hospital in Subang. A nurse at the hospital alerted the police about the incident. 

It was reported that the victim sustained three slash wounds on his neck and shoulder. 

The authorities believe that the victim knows both the assailants. They've launched a manhunt to track down the suspects.

The case is being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt while committing a robbery.
