78-Year-Old Dies In Cinema After Watching 'Annabelle Comes Home'

He was found dead by the person who sat next to him.

A 78-year-old British man was found dead after watching a horror movie in a cinema at a shopping mall in Pattaya on Wednesday, 3 July

Bangkok Post reported that the incident took place in Cinema 4 at The Avenue shopping mall in Pattaya.

The man, who was identified as Bernard Wilfred Channing, was discovered after the horror movie, 'Annabelle Comes Home' ended.

A Thai movie-goer who was sitting next to the man only noticed that he was dead after the lights were switched on

According to Bangkok Post, police were alerted of the incident at 8pm.

Staff said that the man had bought a single ticket to the movie, while witnesses claimed that the man had collapsed before the movie started.

The victim's body was taken to the hospital where a post mortem examination will be performed to determine the cause of death

'Annabelle Comes Home' is the third film in the 'Annabelle' series and the seventh in the Conjuring universe.

This is reportedly the second time someone has died while watching a movie in the Conjuring series, according to The Sun.

In 2016, a 65-year-old man had died in a cinema while watching The Conjuring 2.
