Malaysian Jailed For Helping 4 Sri Lankans Get Fake Malaysian Passports
He was arrested last month.

A 42-year-old Malaysian has been jailed for 10 months after he was found helping four Sri Lankans obtain fake Malaysian passports
According to a Bernama report, dated 2 August, the Malaysian was named as Jagathes Kumar Koil Pillai. He was sentenced to 10 months' behind bars on 1 August, Bernama reported while citing Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA).
The four Sri Lankans whom Jagathes had reportedly assisted to be in possession of forged Malaysian passports were also named by Singapore ICA.
They are 35-year-old Kalaichandran Vinothan, 37-year-old Suresh Sutharshiny, 19-year-old Kajenthiran Kajeepan, and 26-year-old Krishnapillai Navaraj.

Image via STJagathes was arrested on 3 July in KL by a joint team of Singapore Police Force and the Royal Malaysian Police. And on 4 July, he was escorted back to Singapore for investigations by ICA officers.
The offence was committed last year on 27 December inside a toilet at Changi Airport Terminal 1, reported The Straits Times today, 3 August.
On that day, Jagathes handed the four Sri Lankans the forged Malaysian passports and boarding passed for their journey to Italy. Following which, Jagathes returned back to Kuala Lumpur, where he was arrested by the joint police force.
The four Sri Lankans had wanted to seek refuge in either Italy or Switzerland.
They had sought an unknown Sri Lankan agent to make arrangements for their trip there, paying him between SGD8,500 (RM25,500) and SGD25,600 (RM76,800).
The agent had arranged for their trip through Singapore, according to Bernama.
