Malaysian Caught Driving Ferrari With Expired Road Tax Claims He Was Too Busy To Renew It

A 30-year-old Malaysian man was detained last Thursday, 22 June, at Guthrie Corridor Expressway for driving a Ferrari 488 Spider with an expired road tax
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the director of the Selangor division of the Road Transport Department (RTD), Datuk Khairul Khar Yahya, stated that the incident occurred during a routine daily operation carried out by the enforcement station (SPK) at the Elmina RTD in Selangor.
"The 30-year-old driver was remanded and further inspection revealed that his vehicle's road tax had expired. The excuse given by the driver was that he was too busy with work and forgot to renew it," said the director to Sinar Harian on Saturday, 24 June.

Datuk Khairul also stated that 126 offences were detected by officials, including 21 cases relating to competent driving licences (CDL), 19 cases of expired motor vehicle licences (LKM), 19 cases of no insurance protection, and 54 technical cases.
"The operations team has acted to seize six Honda EX5 motorcycles for various offences," said the director.
Additionally, it was stated that SPK Elmina will always give their full attention and will continually monitor roads to ensure that every vehicle is following the road rules and regulations that have been set.
