Klang Employer Pleads Not Guilty To Assaulting His 2 Bodyguards For Fasting
The businessman, along with his personal assistant, was charged at the Klang Magistrate's court today.

Earlier today, 22 April, businessman Chung Chee Yang was charged at the Klang Magistrate's court for assaulting his bodyguards
The 44-year-old claimed trial to five counts before magistrate P Sarulatha.
The employer had beaten up two of his employees after finding out that they were observing the Muslim fasting month despite having them prohibited from fasting during Ramadan.
The incident took place on 13 April, following which four people linked to the case were arrested.
Chung has been charged with five charges
The charges framed under Section 298, Section 506, Section 109, Section 324, and Section 323 of the Penal Code covers criminal intimidation, intentionally wounding religious feelings, and causing injury.
His 43-year-old personal assistant Choo Hin Voon was charged twice under Section 324.
Magistrate P Sarulatha set bail at RM50,000 for Chung and RM20,000 for Choo. She also fixed 23 June for the next mention of the case.
Deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Asyraf Ashy'ari Kamaruzam had proposed the bail amount to be RM200,000 for each of Chung's charges and RM100,000 for each of Choo's charges.
The DPP also proposed additional conditions that both accused surrender their passport to the court and report to the police station until the disposal of the case.
The magistrate allowed Chung RM50,000 bail for all the charges and RM20,000 bail for Choo with one surety for each accused after hearing pleas for lower bail amounts from counsels Abdul Hakeem Aiman and Jacky Loi, who represented Chung and Choo, respectively.
Both the accused were ordered to surrender their passports and report to the police station once a month until the case is disposed of.
According to Abdul, his client is the sole breadwinner of the family.
"The accused is a property investor who does a lot of charity work, especially contributions to the temples... He runs two businesses and has more than 30 workers who depend on him," he said.
Meanwhile, Choo's counsel said that his client takes care of his mother who is wheelchair-bound.
