Jamal Has A New Restaurant That Will Serve Free Food To Malaysians For The Next 3 Years
The restaurant will be open every Monday until Friday for the next three years, from 11am until 3pm.

Sungai Besar UMNO division chief Jamal Yunos has a opened a brand new restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that serves free food to Malaysians
Named Gabungan NGO 1Malaysia restaurant, the new eatery is fully funded by donations from Jamal himself and other anonymous corporate leaders.
The restaurant will be open every Monday until Friday for the next three years, from 11am until 3pm, and only the first 1,000 people will receive the free meals
With an allocation of RM5,000 per day, patrons can expect dishes like ayam masak merah, fish curry, steamed corn, fried fish, and vegetable sambal, plain rice, and nasi minyak, that will be on a rotating menu.
"We have a different menu for each day to serve Malaysians from all walks of life. That is the muhibbah (goodwill) concept," explained Jamal, as reported by Free Malaysia Today yesterday, 16 October.
Malaysians can pretty much eat all they want, as long as they don't waste any food. Patrons are required to wash their own plates and cutlery once they are done with the meal.
Jamal's new restaurant is currently run by 15 volunteers and is located right next to the McDonald's outlet along Jalan Pahang.
It was reported that Jamal hopes his restaurant would benefit the underprivileged community in the area
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Jamal said that he recently realised that there's more to life than material wealth.
"The idea for this project came to me two months ago when I attended a friend's funeral. I realised that however many assets we accumulate, we cannot take them with us when we leave this world," he said.
Jamal told reporters that if all goes well, he will open a branch of the "free restaurant" in Sekinchan soon.
Dismissing claims that this new initiative is politically motivated, Jamal stressed that this has nothing to do with the upcoming elections and urged people to not politicise it
"This is for the next three years, it's not about the (upcoming) general election. Don't make a restaurant a political issue.
"I welcome my political friends regardless of whether they are from DAP, PKR, or PAS. As long as they're Malaysian. However we do not welcome people from Bangladesh and Myanmar (and other non-citizens).
"We are following the muhibbah concept. If you want to call us racist, (you can't), because this is our concept and we are doing this for the rakyat" he explained, as reported by Malaysiakini.
