Beloved MH370 Advocate Jacquita Gonzales, Widow Of Cabin Crew Member, Dies At 62
Transport Minister Anthony Loke described Jacquita as a "courageous and steadfast voice" for the MH370 families.
Jacquita Gonzales, the widow of MH370 inflight supervisor Patrick Gomes and a prominent advocate for the victims' families, passed away on Monday, 28 April. She was 62.
Her death was announced on the MH370 Families Facebook page, where the community mourned the loss of a deeply committed and passionate advocate.
"It is with deep sadness that we share this news. Jacquita was a vibrant and dynamic member of Voice370, always at the forefront of our efforts and a central figure representing the crew family members.
"She touched so many of our lives with her love, warmth, kindness, and humility. She will be deeply missed by all of us who knew her," the post read.
Jacquita was known for her tireless advocacy in the ongoing search for answers and justice following the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 on 8 March 2014
According to The Star, Jacquita had been battling breast cancer.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke also expressed his condolences today, 29 April.
"On behalf of the Transport Ministry, I extend my deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace," he said.
Loke described Jacquita as a "courageous and steadfast voice" for MH370 families.
"Her strength, compassion, and tireless pursuit of truth in the face of unimaginable loss have touched the hearts of many. Her legacy will remain a beacon of resilience for all who continue to seek closure," he added.
