Between Hasrullah Azrulkhan's disability to walk and his determination to conquer the nature, what matters is that he is proving everyone wrong who told him he can't do it.

Meet Hasrullah Azrulkhan, a 23-year-old International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) degree student, better known as Adam

Adam, who has a neck for extreme sports such as hiking and kayaking, has so far conquered several hills in Selangor. Something which may not seem so impressive, until you realise he can't walk.

The reason Adam hikes, he confesses, is to prove that he could do what many deemed impossible for a disabled person like him

While speaking to The Rakyat Post, the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) degree student admitted that while the climbs are often very difficult, which leaves him with many cuts and bruises, he enjoys the challenge and always looks forward to conquering other mountains.

"Apa guna aku panjat bukit kalau orang lain yang angkat?" ("What's the use of hiking if someone else has to carry me instead?"), asked Hasrullah, who has so far conquered Bukit Broga, Bukit Tabur, Bukit Gasing, Bukit Saga and Bukit Kutu in Kuala Kubu Baru.

Recently, photos and a video of Hasrullah reaching the Bukit Broga peak went viral, making Malaysians take note of his determination

The video, which was taken and posted online by his fellow hiking mate, Firdaus Hisham, on Sept 21 this year, was picked up by social media group Sukan Star TV. It received many heart-warming messages of support and admiration from netizens.

Meanwhile, a picture taken by a different hiker, Satrio Banyubiru, who was also hiking at the same time as Adam on the eastern portion of Bukit Tabur on Oct 30, also went viral.

The picture showed Adam struggling to hike up the 300m Bukit Tabur.
