Haziq Aziz Reportedly Arrested At KLIA

His lawyer Ramesh Kumar confirmed the arrest to FMT.

Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who recently claimed that it was him in a leaked sex video allegedly involving Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali, has been arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)

According to The Malaysian Insight, Haziq was picked up at 5.30pm today, 14 June.

Two days ago, on 12 June, the 27-year-old released a confession video alleging that he was with Azmin Ali on 11 May at a hotel in Sandakan, Sabah during the recent by-election.

However, according to a report in Free Malaysia Today (FMT), Haziq was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2)

"I'm on my way to the police station there," Haziq's lawyer, Ramesh Kumar was quoted as saying by FMT in its report.

On 13 June, Haziq lodged a police report in Kelana Jaya, saying he feared for his safety.

According to astro AWANI, the Head of Corporate Communications of the Malaysian Police (PDRM) will be issuing a statement

"A statement will be issued by the Secretariat of the Inspector-General of Police in the near future," Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said, as reported by astro AWANI.

Meanwhile, UMNO’s Lokman Adam has also been arrested after he refused to cooperate with the police over a report he lodged in regards to the viral sex videos:
