Ismail Sabri: Travelling Across Districts In Sabah Banned Beginning 3 October
However, the rule will not apply to people working in essential services.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has announced that travel between different districts in Sabah will be banned beginning Saturday, 3 October
According to New Straits Times, the interdistrict travel ban will last for 14 days, beginning 3 October to 16 October.
The Senior Minister said the implementation was decided during the special Cabinet meeting.
However, the ban will not apply to people working in essential services, such as security, food, and medical supplies, among others
"Throughout the period, those who are currently placed under quarantine and have ended their quarantine period are allowed to return to their districts or return back to the peninsula, Sarawak, or Labuan," Ismail said in a statement today, 1 October.
"However, the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) period placed under the four districts of Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kunak, and Semporna, which were announced prior to this, will continue to be enforced as usual."
The interdistrict travel ban is implemented after the state started seeing a spike in COVID-19 cases a month ago
As of yesterday, 30 September, the state has a total of 888 cases, with 10 active clusters, reported Malaysiakini.
Many of the new cases in Peninsular Malaysia can be traced back to individuals with a travel history to Sabah as well.
