In a Facebook post published by Free Malaysia Today, Lin assured employees that the company will not take action against them if they "don't feel its safe to come out to work tomorrow"

Addressing his staff as "fellow Gamudians", Lin wrote:

"Looking at the latest GE results, it's clear there has been a shift in voter sentiment. What's clear enough now is that it will be a very close contest whichever side wins.

In view of this, if you don't feel it's safe to come out to work tomorrow, it's perfectly ok. It's up to you, but if you don't go to work tomorrow, the company is fine with your decision."

However, Lin noted that the option is not applicable for staff at project sites due to the time crunch involved for said projects

"Having said that, I hope our staff at our project sites - especially UG2 - can understand that it doesn't apply to them as the disruption is too great if our catch up work at site were to slow down," he explained.

According to Free Malaysia Today, Lin is believed to be referring to an underground project related to the Klang Valley MRT Line 2 that is currently under construction.

At the time of writing, the official tally puts Pakatan Harapan in the lead with 105 Parliament seats, followed by Barisan Nasional (75), PAS (17), and other parties (9). Stay updated on SAYS' GE14 website for verified results!
