That is not all.

People have also gotten similar looking ads about freebies from Tesco, GSC (Golden Screen Cinemas), and 7-Eleven just by completing a survey.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately, these promotions are believed to be hoaxes.

Why you shouldn't trust these sites:

We tried to access these sites and found out that the layout of the sites are very familiar.

Besides that:
1. The URL looks suspicious.
2. The website states that you can get vouchers for 7-Eleven, but the dubious pop-up said you "won" free "AirAsia tickets" instead.

It is most likely that these are part of a free voucher scam scheme, which is a popular way to generate money at the expense of end-users who hand over lots of personal information in return for the promise of freebies.

Both AirAsia and GSC have recently clarified that this could be an online scam, seeing that the posts have only been circulating via social media

AirAsia has issued an official statement to clear up the air about the viral posts that netizens kept sharing in hopes of getting free flights.

The low-cost carrier, who has lodged a police report regarding this, said that the survey is not conducted by AirAsia or any of its affiliates. Instead, it is a scam capitalising on the AirAsia brand without authorisation.

"We advise the public to disregard such invitations and AirAsia shall not be held liable for any claims pertaining to the false scheme," it said in a statement on Tuesday, 26 July.

Meanwhile, GSC wrote a note on Facebook, urging fans not to click on the links as "it's not real".
