Family Offers RM150,000 To Find Man Who Has Been Missing For 6 Days Since Jet Ski Ride
The victim, Lee Chong Loong, was testing out his new jet ski with a friend when he went missing off the coast of Sematan, Sarawak.

A 46-year-old man has been missing for six days since he was last seen jet skiing in the waters of Pulau Talang-Talang, off the coast of Sematan, Sarawak
According to New Sarawak Tribune, Lundu Civil Defence Force (APM) officer Lieutenant Rabuan Zulkeflee said the victim, Lee Chong Loong, went missing while testing out his new jet ski with a friend.
At the time of the incident, the two were riding separate jet skis from Santubong jetty to Pulau Talang-Talang
The victim's friend told the Civil Defence Force that the two of them boarded two jet skis for a fun ride, and to go fishing and enjoy the good weather.
They were planning to continue three nautical miles towards Telok Melano when the friend soon realised that the victim was no longer visible behind him.
Rabuan said the friend was riding the jet ski for about 10 minutes, or one nautical mile, ahead of the victim, and had turned around towards Pulau Talang-Talang to search for the victim, but found neither the man nor his jet ski.
The friend lodged a missing person's report at the Lundu police station around 7pm on the same day.
A search and rescue operation began immediately the next morning with the Lundu Civil Defence Force leading the search
The operation is joined by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Sarawak Coast Guard, Royal Malaysian Police Air Wing Unit, and the Fire and Rescue Department.
The search began in the coastal area and spanned around 100 nautical miles from Telok Melano to Santubong, up to the Indonesian borders.
As of today, 22 September, Lee is yet to be found.
The rescue operation has only recovered the victim's blue jet ski, found floating about 8.2 miles north west of Tanjung Sipang, which has been verified by the victim's family.
Lee's family has since taken to social media to plead with the public to help find him
"We are in need of help in the search for my uncle, who went missing while riding on his jet ski from Sematan to Santubong. His jet ski was found but he hasn't been found yet. I hope the public will join forces with our search team at the Santubong Jetty," said his niece on Facebook.
"A reward of RM 150,000 will be awarded to the finder if he is found alive."
The niece said their family members will be at Santubong jetty every day from 8am until Lee is found, if anyone would like to lend a helping hand in the search.
Lee was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, long black pants, and a life vest.
