Fahmi Reza To Crowdfund His RM30,000 Fine And Put Up 30,000 Clown Stickers Around Malaysia
Fahmi said the crowdfunding page will be launched either tonight or tomorrow.

Yesterday, 20 February, cartoonist and prominent activist Fahmi Reza was sentenced to one month in jail and fined RM30,000 by the Ipoh Sessions Court for publishing a clown sketch of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on his Facebook page in 2016
After the case ruling, Fahmi wrote in a Facebook post that he has filed an appeal to challenge the decision at the Ipoh High Court.
He also announced his release from the Session Court's lockup after four hours, with a bond of RM10,000. However, his RM30,000 fine has yet to be paid to avoid an additional six months in jail.
Earlier today, Fahmi came up with a crowdfunding plan for his RM30,000 fine on his Facebook page
"Stick and fight!" Fahmi wrote, before asking netizens to join his crowdfunding effort.
"They imposed a RM30,000 fine, so let's crowdfund to share and put up 30,000 clown stickers around Malaysia," he added.
The Facebook post received over 2,100 reactions and 300 shares within the last 12 hours. Many netizens responded to Fahmi with support and encouragement.
In another Facebook post, Fahmi announced that he will be launching his crowdfunding page either tonight or tomorrow and revealed the items he will be selling
He will be selling a 'Penghasut' sticker pack, which will contain 15 waterproof stickers, and a 'Penghasut' metal pin which is around three centimetres tall.
He also wrote that he will have to charge interested buyers at a higher price as all proceeds from these items will go to paying his RM30,000 fine.
Nonetheless, he has not confirmed the items' prices, and is currently asking for public opinion on how much they are willing to pay.
