Dr Noor Hisham: COVID-19 Is Spreading Faster In Selangor Compared To Sabah
He warned that there's an increased pandemic risk in Selangor if public health prevention measures are not taken.

Selangor is seeing a surge of daily new COVID-19 cases
From recording two to three daily new cases during the fourth week of September, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has recorded 10 to 15 new daily cases between Sunday, 27 September and Tuesday, 29 September.
Following which, Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah warned that the COVID-19 infection rate in Selangor, at Rt value of 1.95, is much higher than Sabah, where the Rt value was 1.29 as of yesterday.
An Rt value indicates how fast COVID-19 is spreading.
According to Dr Noor Hisham, this showed an increased pandemic risk in Selangor if public health prevention measures are not taken
"The Rt in Sabah has stabilised although it was still at 1.29 yesterday. This situation is still worrying as it involves a high number of new cases. The Rt may go up if we do not take optimal public health intervention measures," the Health D-G took to his social media pages to say earlier today, 30 September.
In comparison to Selangor and Sabah, he noted that the Rt value in Kedah decreased and is in line with the decrease in cases in the state
Dr Noor Hisham said the situation reflected good compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been set by the government.
He urged Malaysians to continue to adhere to the SOPs.
Meanwhile, 89 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today
Of which, 86 were locally acquired infections while three were imported cases.
Two new deaths were recorded, bringing the country's COVID-19 death toll to 136.
