Newborn Baby Dumped In A Rubbish Bin Was Found By An Ampang Security Guard's Dog

The dog started barking loudly which alerted the guard.

A security man's dog found a newborn baby alive in a rubbish bin at Pandan Indah, Ampang Jaya on Saturday morning, 25 May

Bernama reported that the baby boy was found in a bin in front of a convenience store when a security officer was patrolling the area at 6am.

The infant was found with his umbilical cord still intact

According to Ampang Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Zaid Hassan, the security guard's dog started to bark at the garbage bin which led to the guard hearing the baby's cries.

"When he checked, there was a baby and he quickly called the police for help," Mohd Zaid said in the statement.

The baby was found to have no injuries following a medical examination at Ampang Hospital

According to Bernama, police are currently searching for the culprit involved.

Anyone with information on the incident are urged to come forward.
