Sin Chew Daily reported that the man had sexually assaulted the victim in his clinic after asking his assistant to leave the labour theatre.

The incident happened in April 2018.

The victim, who was in labour at the time, had lost consciousness after she was given increased anaesthetic dosage by the 61-year-old

According to Liberty Times Net, the victim was injected with 13CC of an anaesthetic drug, instead of the common dosage of 10CC.

The 10CC dosage would have put the victim in anaesthesia for a maximum of 20 minutes.

The 61-year-old only commenced procedures for the victim's delivery after he sexually assaulted her.

The obstetrician's atrocious act was caught on a camera secretly installed by his own wife

The man's wife, who had suspicions that he was cheating on her, installed a camera in the clinic's labour theatre prior to the incident.

TVBS reported that upon viewing the footage, the woman decided to lodge a police report against her husband.

Nonetheless, the man's wife has since asked the public to "give him a chance"

"He is a good doctor, and a good father... Please give him a chance," she said, according to TVBS.

The woman made the plea after revealing that the family still has a housing loan to pay for.

Apart from his sexual assault charge, the obstetrician could have his license suspended for life.
