Deputy IGP Says Those Spreading Distorted Photos Of Country's Leaders Will Face Action
He warned social media users not to slander Malaysian leaders.

During the 'Op Selamat 8/2016' road safety campaign at the Litrak toll plaza in Petaling Jaya on 5 February, Deputy IGP Noor Rashid Ibrahim was asked to comment on the caricatures of clowns depicting PM Najib which had spread on social media recently
To which, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police said that:
Those who spread distorted pictures of national leaders will face legal action under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. Dy IGP Noor Rashid said the act prohibited users of social media from abusing the facility for the purpose of slandering certain individuals, according to Malaysiakini.
