COVID-19 Death Toll Climbs To 21 After A Tabligh Attendee Dies In Alor Setar
The victim was 63 years old with a history of chronic illness.

Malaysia today, 26 March, recorded its 21st death related to COVID-19
The 21st death case is a 63-year-old Malaysian citizen with a history of chronic illness.
According to Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham, the victim had attended the tabligh gathering at Sri Petaling Jamek Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The religious gathering was attended by over 14,500 Malaysians.
The patient was identified as Case 1588.
The person started showing symptoms on 22 March
Dr Noor Hisham said that the patient was then admitted to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah in Alor Setar on 23 March. However, the patient's health continued to deteriorate since then.
At 4am today, 26 March, the person died.
Prior to this, Case 780 died yesterday, 25 March
The Malaysian citizen was 76 years old and became the 20th person to die with COVID-19.
He, too, had attended the tabligh event. He was being treated at Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai, Kelantan since 18 March. He died at 4.35am on 25 March.
