Malaysia's Top Counter-Terrorism Cop Has Received A Death Threat From ISIS
The death threat was issued through a phone call from the militant personally.

Bukit Aman Special Branch Counter-Terrorism Division head, Ayob Khan, has reportedly received a death threat through a personal phone call from ISIS militant Muhamad Wanndy Mohamad Jedi
The Bukit Aman Special Branch's Counter-Terrorism Division Assistant Director Ayob Khan, who has been promoted to Principal Assistant Director of the Division, with the rank of Acting Deputy Commissioner, effective from 11 August, received the death threat for his involvement in fighting terrorism and for detaining Muhamad Wanndy's older brother in May, The Star Online reported.
Ayob Khan, however, remains undaunted
“We have managed to quell 9 plots targeting certain institutions and public areas, so far. This will be continued without any fear of any parties linked to terror groups,” he said.

Ayob is not alone as even Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar is on the militant group’s target list.
Ayob said government institutions and police officers, especially those involved in anti-terrorism were targeted by the Iraq and Syria-based terrorists as they were perceived to be a “thagut”, defined as those who have crossed religious boundaries.
“They are regarding us as supportive of thagut and want to attack us first followed by the non-Muslims in the country,” he was quoted as saying by the English daily.
According to Malaysiakini's report, Ayob revealed police actions have seen 213 individuals, including 27 foreigners, detained to facilitate their investigations into suspected links with terror groups
He said Kedah and Perak topped the list with 30 arrests each, Kuala Lumpur (28), Johor (19), Selangor (17), Negri Sembilan (13), Kelantan (11), Pahang and Terengganu (eight each), Sabah and Malacca (six each), Penang and Perlis (four each) and Sarawak (two).
Labuan has had zero arrest so far.
