Bangkok's Temperature Will Plunge As Low As 15°C From December To January

If you're heading to Thailand this year, prepare yourself for a cooler season as temperatures are set to drop from December 2019 onwards
Bangkok's current temperature is between 32 and 33 degrees Celsius (°C).
However, the Thai Meteorological Department predicts that it will dip between 15°C and 17°C.
Northern areas like Chiang Rai are expected to drop to about 7°C to 9°C, while Chiang Mai will be between 12°C and 14°C
December and January are typically the coldest months of the year for northern Thailand.
However, this year, the north and northeastern states' temperature will go down by one or two degrees Celsius.
While it is usually 30°C Celsius, southern areas like Phuket will also experience cooler weather at 20 to 22 degrees.
Eastern parts like Sa Kaew and Chon Buri's temperature will fall to around 15°C.
The reason for the unexpected cool weather is due to the cold fronts coming from China
The cold temperature is expected to last until February 2020, with the coldest period being between late December and mid-January.
The coldest weather ever recorded in Bangkok was in 1951 when the temperature dropped to 10°C.
In 2016, the city hit its coldest record in 30 years when temperatures fell to 15.6°C, according to Bangkok Post.
Some revealed that "snow" fell in Chiang Rai in 1955 and lasted for about 14 hours before it melted.
