A man uploaded a video on social media recently, ridiculing a police officer who was escorting him to the police station

The man, identified as Ooi Kok Wei, said that he is a nightclub DJ and was upset that he was detained after failing a breathalyser test.

He was then escorted to the Jalan Tun H. S. Lee police station as the police officer suspected him of driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to a police statement, the incident occurred at about 3.45am at a road block on the Sungai Besi highway.

While travelling to the police station in the police car, Ooi made a video recording while he was seated in the front passenger seat of a car driven by a traffic policeman.

He claimed that he was forced to confess that he was drunk driving.

Ooi insisted that he did no wrong and said in the video that he only complied and followed the officer back to the police station out of "respect"

"But after checking and confirmed (that I am not drunk), what is he gonna pay me back?" he was heard saying in the video, directing the question towards the policeman.

"If you (are drunk), you'll be in jail. If you did not drink, then you can go home," the police officer replied.

The 31-year-old then accused the cop of wasting his time and was adamant that he was not drunk.

He went on to say that this incident was an example of how Malaysian police are corrupted.

The video recording immediately went viral on social media. Watch the video here:
