Caretaker In Kuching Abused 14-Month-Old Baby Into Seizures Because She Was Paid Late
The baby had been starved for three weeks.

A 14-month-old baby in Kuching is in critical condition after enduring three weeks of abuse by her 23-year-old babysitter
Astro Awani reported that the baby girl was abused to the point of unconsciousness and had to be admitted to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) on Thursday, 25 October.
The victim had been starved for three weeks while under the care of the babysitter, resulting in seizures and a bacterial infection in her lungs.
Additionally, bruises were found on the the baby's head.
The young victim had been under the care of the babysitter from 8am to 10.30pm daily during the three-week duration
The child's mother had to leave her with a babysitter due to work commitments.
The last time the mother had seen her child was on Tuesday, 23 October - two days before the child was admitted into the hospital.
When arrested by the police, the babysitter admitted that she abused the baby because she was angry over the late payment of fees
The police force made the arrest following a report filed by the hospital.
Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan told The Borneo Post that the babysitter also admitted to hitting the baby twice on the head with a milk bottle in an attempt to stop her from crying.
The suspect will be investigated under Section 31(1)(a) of of the Child Act 2001. If found guilty, the offender could face up to maximum 20 years in jail, a fine, or both.
