3 Sleeping Myanmar Farm Workers Were Killed In Cameron Highlands Landslide
Their shed was buried under the rubble.

A young Myanmar couple and their friend were killed in their sleep due to a 3am landslide in Cameron Highlands yesterday, 14 October
The three are believed to have been farm workers who were resting in a shed, which was located at Kilometre 78.8, Kampung 3, Terla.
Free Malaysia Today reported that the victims have been identified as married couple 23-year-olds Naing Vai and Aung Thong, and their friend 34-year-old Mu Aye Aye.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department deputy director Mohd Sani Harul said the landslide had occurred on higher ground, which then buried the victims alive
"The shed could not be seen because it was buried under the rubble," he said, according to Malaysiakini.
Upon arrival of the authorities at 11.30am, two of the bodies had already been pulled out by their friends. The third body was extricated at 1.20pm.
Additionally, investigations revealed that the shed which the victims were sleeping in was illegally-constructed at the bottom of a steep slope
"The landslide occurred due to the heavy rain and buried the hut," said Cameron Highlands police chief Ashari Abu Samah in a statement.
