#Budget2020: 3 New Digital Libraries Will Be Developed In Kedah, Perak, And Johor

A 24-hour digital library in Penang was opened in 2017.

At the tabling of Budget 2020 today, 11 October, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng announced an allocation for the development of three new digital libraries

The three new libraries will be developed in the states of Kedah, Perak, and Johor.

The former chief minister of Penang previously launched the state's first 24-hour digital library in 2017

The library was initiated by the state government in collaboration with Keysight Technologies and Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Group and supported by TIME.

It has since been expanded to have two buildings: the 4,000 sq ft 'Mansion Library' and the 10,000 sq ft 'New Annexe'.
