Anthony Loke Had The Perfect Response To PAS MPs Who Said Cabin Crew Uniforms Are Too Sexy
The Transport Minister made the statement when PAS MP Abdullah Mat Nawi remarked that uniforms worn by air stewardesses of Malaysian airlines are too revealing when compared to airlines from other countries.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke has one piece of advice for those who find female flight attendants' uniforms too sexy - "just don't look at the stewardess"
The issue was brought up in Dewan Rakyat yesterday, 1 August, when PAS MP Datuk Che Abdullah Mat Nawi remarked that uniforms worn by air stewardesses of Malaysian airlines are too revealing when compared to airlines from other countries.
In response, Loke was reported to have said, "I don’t have a comment on this because whether it is revealing or not, then the eyes should stray away from looking at the stewardess."
"This is a subjective matter. Just don’t look at the stewardess," he added.
Loke also said that airline companies are free to make decisions regarding flight attendants' uniforms as long as the outfits do not hinder cabin crew from carrying out emergency evacuations and suit their corporate image
According to Free Malaysia Today, the minister clarified that there are no new policies on the uniforms at the moment when PAS MP Siti Zailah Yusoff asked if revealing outfits meet airlines' safety requirements.
Another PAS MP also questioned if Malaysia Airlines are planning to introduce a new dress code policy that will allow Muslim air stewardesses to wear headscarves, to which Loke said that he will bring up the matter with the airline.
Loke added that the iconic Baju Kebaya, which has been worn by Malaysia Airlines stewardesses since 1986, showed Malaysia's cultural identity to tourists travelling with the airline.
This is the second time the issue has been brought up in Parliament.
In December 2017, two BN lawmakers complained that AirAsia and Firefly's uniforms were "too revealing" and does not reflect well on the country's Islamic values.
New Straits Times reported Senator Datuk Abdullah Mat Yasim to have said that the "revealing" uniforms can arouse passengers, especially young people.
Senator Datuk Hanafi Mamat, who is also Kelantan UMNO secretary, also opined that female flight attendants should wear syariah-compliant uniforms as tourists may get the wrong impression of Malaysia if "our flight attendants dress up sexily and disrespectfully".
