Air Selangor Donates Household Items & Food To Orphans & Single Mothers During Raya Event

Air Selangor, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme Sesama Mara, celebrated Hari Raya Aidilifitri with 60 orphans and single mothers yesterday, 16 May
Organised at Sri Pentas in Bandar Utama, Air Selangor donated household items and basic food as well as provided internal plumbing service assistance to children and single mothers from the following organisations:
- Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim UMMI Selangor (Kajang)
- Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Yatim/Miskin Rukaiyah (Kajang)
- Persatuan Rumah Kebajikan Anak-anak Yatim dan Ibu Tunggal Hajah Kamariah (Petaling Jaya)
According to Acting Chief Executive Officer of Air Selangor, Ir. Abas Abdullah, in addition to sharing blessings with the less fortunate, the donation is meant to ease the financial burden of celebrating the festive occasion
"Receiving positive feedback from Sesama Mara's Hari Raya Aidilfitri last year, we continued to organise this event in 2023 with the same hope that is in line with our brand promise, 'Joy in Every Drop', of bringing joy to the community members, especially to the children and single mothers during this festive season," he said.
To further liven up the festivities, Air Selangor also handed out duit Raya to children and single mothers from these welfare homes.
During the event, there was a special appearance by BoBoiBoy, as well as celebrities Naim Daniel and Sissy Imann, who sang classic Raya songs with the children
Under the Sesama Mara programme, Air Selangor was able to distribute 150 Box of Hope boxes containing essential food items such as rice, oil, sugar, dry goods, and flour to B40 families
