Over the span of 10 months, the project has successfully helped 156 stray dogs and 38 stray cats find new homes

According to Sin Chew, 114 dogs were adopted by non-government organisations (NGOs), while the remaining 42 were adopted by private owners.

In addition, the 38 cats were adopted by NGOs.

Thanks to the success of the project, the city council has started to build new shelters for their animals, so they will have more space to roam

This will also ensure that future animals can be quarantined accordingly if needed, Sin Chew reported.
