With the Chinese New Year approaching, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will provide two additional electric train services (ETS) for the KL Sentral to Padang Besar line, and vice versa

KTMB said in a statement yesterday, 8 January, that ticket sales for the extra ETS trips from 19 to 24 January will begin today, 9 January.

"This additional train offers 630 tickets daily, with a total of 3,780 tickets, including business class coaches," read the statement.

The additional ETS train will depart from KL Sentral at 5.05 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive at Padang Besar at 10.34pm.

Meanwhile, the train from Padang Besar will depart at 11am and is scheduled to arrive at KL Sentral at 4.36pm.

The initiative to provide additional rides was to meet the high passenger demand during the festive season

You can purchase tickets through the KTM mobile application (KITS) or on the KTMB website for easier and faster cashless purchases here.
