A PDRM Officer In PJ Allegedly Raped 2 Women He Stopped At An MCO Roadblock
The officer has been remanded for five days and the case is being investigated for rape.

On Friday night, 10 April, two women were stopped at a roadblock in place to enforce the Movement Control Order (MCO) in Petaling Jaya
A Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officer, with the rank of inspector, asked for their documents.
The two women, identified as Mongolian nationals, were then arrested for failing to explain why they were out and not carrying valid travel documents, according to a report in Malaysiakini today, 12 April.
"After the women were arrested, the inspector volunteered to take them to the police station. However, instead of taking them to the lock-up, he brought them to a hotel," the portal reported.
Malay Mail reported Petaling Jaya Police chief Assistant Commissioner (ACP) Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, who corroborated the incident to reporters during a press conference today, saying that the inspector took advantage of the situation and forcefully took them to a nearby hotel where he allegedly raped them.

The two victims were eventually rescued by a police team at around 9.30pm Saturday, 11 April.
The ACP said that they received information about the two women through a tip, following which a team led by his deputy, superintendent Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, began investigating the case at once.
"We conducted an operation due to the sensitive nature of the case. We needed to conduct surveillance as our main priority was ensuring the two women were in no further danger," he was quoted as saying.
Police conducted two raids in PJ including one at the hotel where two women were rescued.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested from a separate location and has since been remanded for five days to facilitate investigations
"The case is being investigated under Section 376(3) of the Penal Code for rape," he said.
According to ACP Nik Ezanee, the PDRM may also bring up more charges against the suspect as the case may also be possibly investigated for kidnap and extortion.
"Right now, there are elements of rape. We are also looking at other charges as well. The victims have no valid travel documents. There are possibilities that the women are involved in the illicit sex trade but I want to make it clear that, in this case, they are the victims," Malay Mail reported the ACP as saying.
He emphasised on the fact that even if the women were involved in vice activities, it does not make them any less the victims given that they were being held against their will at the hotel.
"We will also be seeking an interim protection order from the court for the two victims, who are now under the custody of our D11 sexual crime unit," Free Malaysia Today reported him as saying.
Meanwhile, the ACP expressed his disappointment over the case
I am deeply saddened and disappointed over this case.
"The policeman was acting in his own capacity and we will ensure stern action is taken using all available laws. We are confident that we can conclude our investigations soon," he said.
