A Student Plunged 200ft To Her Death After Jumping Into The Air To Pose For A Photo

A 23-year-old Korean student, who jumped in the air to pose for a photo over the Seven Sisters cliffs in East Sussex, fell to her death
According to a report in the BBC, South Korean international student Hyewon Kim had taken a trip to Cuckmere Haven in East Sussex on her own on 22 June this year.
She asked a stranger to take her picture, but as she jumped in the air for the shot she lost her footing and fell 200 feet down the cliff, suffering catastrophic injuries.
The cause of death was recorded as misadventure
"This was an incredibly sad incident leading to the unnecessary loss of a very young life. What we would say is to urge people to stay well away from cliff edges," BBC quoted Mark Webb from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service as saying on 12 October.
Mark added that the day before the incident there was a very severe rock fall in the same sort of area, a clear indication of how some of these cliff edges are very unstable.
According to Det Sergeant Tod Stewart, one of the responders on the scene, police found six photos of the student close to the cliffs, all showing her jumping in the air extremely close to the edge
Det Sgt Tod Stewart, from Sussex Police CID, said that the 23-year-old student's concentration was not on anything other than what she is doing.
"The expression on her face shows nothing but enjoyment," he added.
