A Former Student Of MCKK Was Injured In The Mass Shooting At New Zealand Mosques

A Malaysian national, who has been working as a flight simulator operator in New Zealand, is among those injured in the mass shootings at two New Zealand mosques in Christchurch today
According to the Malaysian High Commission in Wellington, the victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
"As reported, there was a shooting incident in Christchurch mosque at 1.40pm today. The High Commission is in close contact with the local authorities to get further details on the victims. So far, one Malaysian is confirmed injured and currently receiving treatment at the hospital," NST Online reported the High Commission as saying.
The Malaysian has been identified as Mohd Tarmizi Shuib, a former student of the Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK)
NST Online reported that the MCKK alumnus has suffered injuries to his back.
However, his son, Haziq, is still in the mosque and his condition is not yet known, according to Tarmizi's former classmate who wished to remain anonymous.
The flight simulator operator and his family frequented one of the mosques that were involved in the shooting incidents during Friday prayers.
Meanwhile, the High Commission has advised Malaysians residing in New Zealand to stay indoors and adhere to the instructions

There are more than 20 seriously wounded, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said.
Jacinda said New Zealand had been placed on its highest security threat level, adding that the police have arrested four people - three are men and one woman.
The four held extremist views but had not been on any police watchlists, she said.
