Rejected By 4 Public Unis, This 4A's STPM Student Is Appealing To Maszlee As A Last Resort
She has since been contacted by a few politicians.

Ng Hui Ming, a student of SMK King Edward VII in Perak, has a 3.92 CGPA and achieved 4A's in her Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)
She submitted her application to the Students Admission Division (UPU) stating her preferred field of study in law, hoping that she would be accepted into any of her first four choices of universities.
In a viral Twitter thread, Ng detailed her experience in doing so
"My parents have told me that they are incapable of sending me to private colleges for my studies. Hence, I understand the importance of working hard in Form Six (STPM) as this is my only shot at realising my dream of becoming a lawyer," the student wrote.
With her excellent results, Ng thought she was not far from her goal of studying law
The brilliant student had six university choices in mind: Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia (UIAM), Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).
That was before she was told that Chinese students are not allowed to apply to UiTM and UIAM during her UPU application.
Nonetheless, Ng believed that with her STPM results, she would receive an offer to study law at one of the universities of her choice.
Ng ended up with her fifth university of choice, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) for a course in Urban and Regional Planning
"I'm surprised, for a student who works hard for my dreams, why am I not treated fairly by the Ministry of Education?" Ng wrote.
She also lamented that her choices remain limited despite obtaining brilliant results.
She added that STPM students should not be limited by an "unfair" education system, before appealing to Education Minister Dr. Maszlee Malik regarding her situation.
"I can accept my fate, but I hope Dr. Maszlee Malik is able to give me hope like how Pakatan Harapan did. The chance to fulfil my dreams is very important to me," she added.
Over 10,000 retweets later, politicians such as Maszlee and chief strategist of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) Datuk Rais Hussin have reached out to Ng
The Education Minister wrote that Ng's situation is being studied, and developments will be announced when available.
Rais has also pledged to do his best to help Ng with her situation.
On top of that, Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq also called on PPBM Armada information chief Ulya Husamudin and education bureau member Abdul Hannaan Khairy to act on Ng's case.
