A 45-Year-Old Polling Officer Has Died While On Duty In Klang

He was found unconscious on his assigned buggy.

Earlier today, 19 November, an Election Commission (EC) staff died while on duty at the Sekolah ACS Methodist polling station in Klang

According to South Klang police chief ACP Cha Hoong Fong, the 45-year-old was found unconscious around 12.15pm on his assigned buggy at the voting station located on Jalan Raya Bara.

He was rushed to Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in an ambulance

Cha said that the man died while receiving treatment in the emergency room, reported The Star.

"Initial police investigation and a statement recorded from his wife showed that he had received treatment as a heart patient. His body was sent to the hospital's forensic department," he was quoted as saying.

This case has been classified as sudden death.
