A 37-Year-Father In KL Has Been Arrested For Repeatedly Raping His Own Daughter Since 2017
He has been remanded for seven days.

A father has been arrested for raping his 10-year-old daughter repeatedly over the last year in their house in Ampang, KL
The 37-year-old allegedly forced himself on his daughter multiple times, despite efforts to fight him off in their house in Taman Changkat Permata.
The victim initially kept quiet as she was afraid she would be reprimanded by her father.
However, she finally confided in her grandmother on Tuesday, 25 December, who then lodged a police report against her son on Christmas Day.
He has now been remanded for seven days from 25 December 31 December for investigations under Section 376B of the Penal Code
According to Ampang Jaya deputy OCPD Supt Mohd Zaid Hassan, police arrested the father on the same day when the report was lodged by the grandmother.
"The victim told her grandmother at about 1am on 25 December, saying that she was raped by her father at their home in Taman Changkat Permata.
"The rapes believed to had taken place at night since 2017 when she started to live with her father. She did not tell anyone about the incident as she was afraid she would be reprimanded by her father," he said in a statement today, adding that the 60-year-old grandmother was previously the victim's guardian until 2017.
The victim's mother lives in Rawang
The suspect and the victim's mother got divorced. She has remarried and lives in Rawang with the victim's seven-year-old sister, according to a report in NST Online.
