A 28-Year-Old KK Businessman Has Been Fined RM30,000 For Selling Iced Milo At RM3.20
He was also accused of failing to show itemised charges for the milo powder, milk and ice besides the drink's price tag.

A 28-year-old businessman who runs a restaurant called Anak Mami The Restaurant 3 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, has been fined RM30,000 (or 6 months' jail in default) by the KK Sessions Court
The restaurateur was fined for selling iced milo at an unreasonable price of RM3.20.
According to Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry state Deputy Director V. Ravichandran, businessman Shihan Mohd Salim had sold the beverage at RM3.20, leading a customer to lodge a complaint on the excessive price on 7 March 2016.
The 28-year-old Sabahan was charged under Section 21(5) Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act 2011
In its report on 7 September 2018, NST Online reported that the businessman was charged for failure to provide full details and receipts between January 2015 and March 2016 for beverages as required under Section 21(2) of the Act.
He failed to show invoices for the chocolate and malt powder, milk and ice beside price tag for the drink during the same period of seven working days starting 9 May 2016.
While the complaint was lodged on 7 March 2016, the court proceedings began almost eight months after on 24 October 2016.
The case lasted for about two years when yesterday the Sessions Court ruled in favour of the customer complaint, imposing Shihan Mohd Salim a fine of RM30,000.
Meanwhile, Deputy Director Ravichandran added that in behalf of the Ministry, he hopes businessmen would take the case as a lesson not to profiteer from marking up their food prices unreasonably
"I also would like to advise consumers to report to our ministry if there are similar cases in future," the state Deputy Director was quoted as saying by NST Online.
