9 Women Fined RM1,000 Each For Practising Yoga Together In Desa Sri Hartamas
The organiser, who was against the police's inspection, will also be investigated for obstructing civil servants from carrying out their duties.

Nine women have been fined RM1,000 each for breaching the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) after police found the group gathering in a house to practise yoga
Brickfields district police chief ACP Zairulnizam Mohd Zainuddin @ Hilmi said the police raided the house in Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur at 8.30am yesterday, 10 November, after receiving complaints from the public, reported Harian Metro.
"A search in the house found that there were eight local women including the organiser, as well as a woman from the UK who was also a participant in the yoga class. They are between 37 and 60 years old," revealed Zairulnizam.
"The nine women were then taken to the Sri Hartamas Police Station to face a RM1,000 compound each."
According to China Press, it is learnt that the group did not observe physical distancing during the class.
Additionally, police inspection also found that the house is a privately owned property, but was used as a yoga training centre
"During the inspection, the organiser did not cooperate and contested police action to conduct an inspection along with CMCO SOP monitoring at the house in question," said Zairulnizam.
As a result, the 37-year-old organiser, who is also the caretaker of the property, will be investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for preventing civil servants from carrying out their duties.
If convicted, she may face imprisonment of up to two years, a RM10,000 fine, or both.
In light of this incident, Zairulnizam urged residents in the Brickfields district to adhere to the SOPs under the CMCO
"Compounds can be issued against any individual found to be in violation of CMCO SOPs," he said.
"People with information can contact the Brickfields police at +603-22979222 for further action. Cooperation from the public is important to break the COVID-19 chain of infection."
