Seven students at a boarding school in Teluk Intan, Perak have lodged a police report against their seniors who allegedly bullied and ordered them to perform 200 push-ups

According to Bernama, the incident took place on 8 March when two Form 5 students allegedly ordered 62 male Form 2 and Form 4 students to undergo the punishment.

Bagan Datuk police chief Supt Mohammad Ali Mohd Jali stated that the punishment was supposedly intended as a form of "discipline".

However, the affected students reportedly experienced muscle pain and swelling in their arms as a result of the ordeal

"Thus far, we have only received seven reports from the affected students," said Mohammad Ali, describing the act as improper.

The police are currently waiting for an order from the deputy public prosecutor's office to proceed with taking statements from the two Form 5 students.

The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt.
