Five Form 3 students recorded an upskirt video of their English teacher inside the class and then circulated among students
According to a report The Star Online, the students secretly placed a smartphone under their teacher's skirt as she was busy putting a cover onto a student's table in the classroom at about 8.30am on Monday, 16 January.
The incident came to light on Friday, 20 January, after the school's discipline teacher found out about the upskirt video and the victim - who was wearing a baju kurung (traditional Malay dress) when the video was taken - lodged a police report.
The students, who recorded the upskirt video, didn't just made it viral, they were reportedly charging fellow students for viewing it
Dang Wangi police chief ACP Mohd Sukri Kaman said they identified five students involved in the secret recording, reported The Malay Mail Online.
Chief ACP Sukri said they had recorded statements from two students so far.
"The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955," he said in a statement yesterday, 21 January.
The Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 provides for an RM100 fine for threatening or insulting behaviour or exhibiting indecent, threatening, abusive or insulting writing or drawing that is likely to breach the peace.
